Very Cheap, but Lossy
The typical attenuation or RG58 cable per 100 ft is in MHz: 1MHz:0.4dB, 10:1.4dB, 100:4.9dB, 200:7.3dB. We measured two of these cables and found the following. Cable A: 1MHz:3dB, 10:6dB, 100:7.5dB, 200:8dB. Cable B: 1MHz:3dB, 10:7.5dB, 100:12dB, 200:13 dB. In other words, this cable is very lossy relative to normal RG58 cable and is not consistent from cable-to-cable. If you use this cable and you care about high frequency attenuation, you better calibrate each cable individually. You get what you pay for, i.e., cable which is cheap in dollars and cheap in performance.
